K Real Estate

About K Real Estate

K Real Estate is a free Korean real-estate platform in four languages: listings and maps, tax and loan calculators, housing support, remodeling estimates, guides and Connect.

Effective 2026-10-13

K Real Estate is a free platform that brings scattered Korean real-estate information and tools together in one place. It is available on the web and as an app in four languages — Korean, English, Simplified Chinese and Vietnamese — so that both Korean citizens and foreign residents can read the same information in their own language.

Our mission

Buying, renting or renovating a home is one of the biggest decisions most people ever make. Yet the rules you need to know — taxes, lending regulations, jeonse deposit protection, housing subscription schemes — are spread across many agencies and change often. For foreign residents, there is a language barrier on top of that.

Our mission is to make Korean real estate understandable and safe for everyone, including foreign residents. We let you run the numbers in advance, explain the rules in plain language, and give you a way to find the right people when you need help.

What we offer

Every feature is free and works without sign-up or login.

  • Listings and map search: browse listings by area and conditions and see them on a map. The listings currently shown are sample (demo) data used to demonstrate the feature.
  • Market price index: follow how prices are moving by region.
  • [Calculators](/calculators): loan limits (LTV and DSR), acquisition tax, capital gains tax, holding tax, brokerage fees and housing subscription scores.
  • [Jeonse safety check](/safety): review the risk factors to check before signing a jeonse (lump-sum deposit) lease.
  • [Government housing support finder](/support): enter your situation and see which government housing programs you may qualify for.
  • [Remodeling cost estimator](/remodel): estimate costs based on the scope of work and floor area.
  • [Building material prices](/materials): reference unit prices for common construction and interior materials.
  • [Guides](/guides): articles on jeonse, buying, loans, taxes, housing for foreign residents and more.
  • [Connect](/connect): a two-sided board where people who need help — with remodeling, moving, legal or tax questions, buying or renting — and providers such as contractors, suppliers, agents and professionals each register and get matched with suitable counterparts. You can also browse professionals by field under Experts.

How our estimates are made

Our calculators and estimators apply publicly available rules and data — statutes, government notices and public datasets — as of a stated reference date. Each tool tells you which standards it applies, and we regularly review and update them when tax rates or regulations change.

All results are estimates for reference only. Actual taxes, loan limits and construction costs can differ depending on your circumstances, a lender's assessment, site conditions and changes in the rules. Always confirm with the relevant authority or a qualified professional before making an important decision.

Editorial principles for our guides

  • Official sources: guides are based on laws and official materials published by government ministries and public institutions.
  • Dated: every article shows when it was written or last updated, so you know which rules it reflects.
  • Kept current: when a system or rule changes, we revise the related articles.
  • Information, not advice: guides provide general information and do not replace legal, tax or financial advice.

Independence and advertising

  • Calculator and check results never include paid placements or paid ranking.
  • We may show advertising to support the service. Ads are labeled so they can be told apart from our own content.
  • K Real Estate is not a licensed real-estate brokerage and does not take part in contracts or transactions between users. Connect is a board that helps people find each other; contracts and payments happen directly between users.
